A Tribe Called Quest’s new album: We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service

I think that anyone who knows me, knows how much I love A Tribe Called Quest. it’s one of that reasons why my Instagram and twitter handle is AngieQuest. I was truly heartbroken when I found out Phife Dawg had passed away especially because he was still so young, i count myself very lucky that I got to see ATCQ perform live in London.

Now it may have taken 18 years, but A Tribe Called Quest has released its sixth and final album and  just as important as their early ‘90s classics. We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service sees Q-Tip, Jarobi White, Ali Shaheed Muhammed, and the late Phife Dawg reunite for their signature brand of conscious, eclectic hip-hop. Jacobi who left the group in 1991 after the debut album raps like its second nature and like the 90s never left. We never forget why we love A Tribe Called Quest.

Artist such as André 3000, and frequent Tribe collaborators Busta Rhymes and Consequence which is a plus Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Anderson Paak, Talib Kweli, jack white and Elton John . The additions of Elton John and jack White are the ones who are surprising for me. But it’s a welcomed addition because music is universal and comes to people in different ways and inspires in different ways.

It wouldn’t be a Tribe album without Busta Rymes, the dragon master slayed the tracks like it was the 90s and with this I wonder why he doesn’t get the recognition deserves. Because he is one talented words master. His flow is untouched no other artist can comeclose and Consequence another Tribe brother also features and reminds us all of his talent as a wordsmith and of why we should never forget how talented he is.

The title is something that really sticks out for me and maybe it’s because it’s the last album or because it’s last we hear from Phife dawg which really hits home that he is gone. unlike the other albums Tribe have done this one really has all four members input on the album, you can feel every member putting it all together. The beats are unmatched unlike other groups the connection they have will never be matched.
